Student Support

Do you have previous experience providing additional support for pupils aged 11-16? Are you looking for a new challenge in a Secondary School?

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a large Secondary school in Salford who is hoping to welcome a new Student Support worker into their team from October 2019.

Our client school has noticed a staffing gap in the Support department and therefore, wishes to recruit a new team member in order to ensure all students are supported. Several students who attend our partner school have learning difficulties such as dyslexia and require additional one-to-one attention with subjects such as English and Maths.

Working as a Student Support worker will include the following responsibilities:

  • Working alongside several class teachers to ensure they have the required support in the classroom.
  • Support students aged 11-16 at varying levels of learning ability, including some pupils with learning difficulties.
  • Helping to plan and deliver interventions and incorporating these into particular pupils timetables.

If this role sounds of interest to you, please see further information below:

  • Part-time role available from October 2019 until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of this being extended.
  • Opportunity to work in an 'Outstanding' Ofsted graded Secondary school in Salford.
  • Earn up to £300 per week, depending on previous experience.

To be considered for this role, you must have experience supporting students on a 1-1 basis with additional needs or acquire skills that can be transferred to this sector. Any experience with particular learning or behavioural difficulties is also desirable but not a necessity as full support from our client school will be provided.

The above Secondary school is located in Salford and is easily accessible from surrounding areas of Greater Manchester via the M60 and A580. For candidates who do not drive, the school is accessible via several forms of public transportation from areas such as Bury, central Manchester and Bolton.

For immediate consideration, please send an updated CV to Megan Knight or for further information contact the Manchester West Secondary Branch on the number below;
