Requirements:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
*STEM Expertise: Demonstrate a strong background in teaching STEM subjects with a focus on innovation and practical application.
*Educational Vision: Showcase a commitment to promoting excellence in STEM education and fostering a positive learning environment.
*Ofsted Awareness: Stay informed about the latest Ofsted requirements and contribute to maintaining the school's Outstanding rating.
*Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
*Continuous Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest developments in STEM education.
Key Responsibilities:
As a STEM Specialist at you will be responsible for:
*Curriculum Development: Designing and implementing innovative STEM curriculum content that aligns with national standards and engages students across key stages.
*Classroom Instruction: Delivering high-quality, inspiring lessons that foster a love for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics among students.
*Enrichment Activities: Organizing and leading extracurricular STEM activities, clubs, and projects to enhance students' practical understanding and passion for STEM subjects.
*Collaboration: Working collaboratively with colleagues to promote cross-curricular STEM integration and sharing best practices within the department.
*Assessment and Feedback: Providing timely and constructive feedback to students, utilizing a variety of assessment methods to track progress and inform future teaching strategies.
