The need for a male PE Cover Supervisor has arisen in our secondary school in Preston. We require someone on a full-time basis with the possibility of a couple of after school sessions until 4:30pm.
The successful candidate must have experience working with young people and ideally have a background in sport/PE/. This role will also be suitable for a Youth Worker. You will be responsible for supporting the school PE Teacher, delivering practical PE lessons and working as a general Cover Supervisor. Although you will not be required to plan the lessons yourself,we are looking for a pro-active candidate who is willing to get involved with sporting aspects of school life.
In recent years we have guided PE graduates on to a PGCE, if they were aspiring Teachers.
Our school is located in central Preston with close links to the M6, train station and local bus routes. The working hours are from 08:30am - 3:30pm, with the possibility of two 4:30pm finishes.
This role is due to start on Monday 16th March, on a full-time basis until the end of the academic year. It is not yet certain whether this may carry on into the new academic year.
