Sports Coaches - DERBY

Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking for Sports Coaches to work in our Derby City and Derbyshire SEN schools as behaviour mentors.

Many of our schools have additional sports funding that they wish to implement for SEN pupils in order to boost self-esteem and confidence. We also find that Sports Coaches make fantastic role models and behaviour mentors.

We work with a variety of schools that cater for students between the ages of 2 - 19 years old. They support a range of students with SEN such as Autism, ADHD, PMLD and SEMH.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Someone with sports coaching qualifications and a minimum of 1 years experience working within educational provisions
  • Experience working with hard to reach young people across a variety of settings
  • Confident to work with a variety of needs and abilities including children with behaviour difficulties and Autism
  • Experience working with children that have a range of SEN such as physical disabilities
  • Willing to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Willing to undertake any additional CPD if necessary
  • Comfortable with Challenging Behaviour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
