SPORTS COACH - MANCHESTER - EASTER 2019

Sports coach required for large mixed secondary school in Manchester supporting KS3 and KS4 students throughout the academic year and monitoring progress while developing and implementing strategies to improve performance within PE lessons and out of class sporting activities.

  • Full time Sports Coach Position - Easter 2019 start date
  • Earn up to £1300 a month, dependant on qualifications and experience
  • Previous experience working with young people in a sport coaching capacity is essential.
  • Subject specific qualifications and training are highly desirable however we will provide additional support through our CPD training programmes.

This would be an exciting position for any recent PE or Coaching Graduates seeking further experience in a secondary school before enrolling on a PGCE or similar Teacher Training Programme. You will be given the opportunity to build additional skills and learn from existing PE teachers whilst working as a Sports Coach in this large modern secondary school, while also networking to better your chance of future employment.

Our client school is a large mixed secondary school based in the Blackley area. With a recent multimillion pound investment implemented there are excellent provisions in place for both teachers and students with state of the art facilities throughout. The school require a dedicated and passionate Sports Coach to join the PE department who will be able to deliver inspiring direction for the pupils.

Duties include:

  • Assist in the planning and running of lessons and extra curricular sporting activities for KS3 and GCSE pupils
  • Offer support and direction for pupils, helping them build confidence in specific sporting areas and encouraging further participation
  • Cover cross curricular lessons with pre-set work.
  • Effectively encourage pupils to abide by the schools behaviour policy by enforcing strong behaviour management techniques, both in and outside of the classroom
  • Promote the school's vision, aims, objectives and values.
