Teaching Personnel are recruiting for full time Teaching Assistants within the SEN departments of schools located within and the surrounding areas of Liverpool.

The roles needed are looking for TA's who can work with challenging behaviours and have an understanding of the different complexities of SEN.

Expereince is NOT neccessary, however a basic understanding and a desire to learn and develop your knowledge in these areas is desired. The positions would usually be more challenging than a basic TA role as they would require 1:1 support, pastoral care, alot of patience and understanding and sometimes handling difficult situations.

If you feel that your are suited for this role and are a person who can deal with sometimes difficult situations and still have compassion to understand and support children to achieve their learning objectives then this could be a great role for you.

Job Description 

• Supporting the teacher to deliver and execute the lessons.
• Delivering 1:1 support to pupils with complex SEN and behavioral needs.
• Working with small groups of up to 6 pupils
• Intimate care is sometimes required
• Creating a safe and calm environment for pupils
• Physical education support which will entail getting involved in physical activities; sports games, running, swimming etc...

You will need

• DBS
• References from most recent employers
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Engagment with pupils on their learning and a drive to encourage their development
• UK Drivers license(Desired but not required)
• Experience of supporting complex needs of pupils with SEND(Desired but not required)
• Registered with Teaching Personnel
