Job description

ASC Support Assistant – KS2 – Liverpool School

-Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour and Special Educational Needs (at least one year)

-Level 2 or above qualification is a necessity

-Work on a 1:1 basis alongside a child with an EHCP/Statement

Teaching Personnel are currently looking to appoint a teaching assistant on a long term basis to work 1:1 with a child in EYFS who has funded support for his learning needs and behaviour. The position will be based in the SEN unit of the mainstream school and will also include supporting the class teacher with the rest of the pupils in the class.

The Head teacher in school has commented that ‘the young boy needs a routine and structure- the successful candidate will need to have experience with Autism and associated behavioural needs- we use a range of strategies in the Year 1 class to ensure the child is catered for and can meet all learning objectives.’

Location: Liverpool (L10)

Hours: 08:30 – 15:00

Pay Rate: £12.85 - 13.00 per hour

Start: April 2024

 

The role is to start as soon as possible, due to funding and will continue, five days a week until at least July, with it possibly continuing after the Easter break. In the past, the school have used the agency to shortlist, appoint and then contract on a temp to perm basis.
