Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant – Kirkby (L32)

We have an opportunity for a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant in Kirkby (L32) to provide support to a KS2 Class Teacher. We are seeking candidates with appropriate qualifications and experience who are eager to work in a forward-thinking primary school environment. Our school is characterized by a welcoming and efficient Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo).

The Head Teacher is seeking a Full-Time Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant on a temporary contract to specialize in delivering 1:1 intervention for a child in KS2 with moderate learning difficulties. The ideal candidate will offer dedicated support to help the child reach their full potential and fully participate in mainstream school activities.

Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant Role:

  • Five days a week, focusing on 1:1 support for a child in KS2 with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
  • Collaborating closely with the SENCo and other Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants to cultivate a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Establishing strong communication channels with parents to ensure alignment between school and home.

Position Details:

  • Hourly rate: £11.85, paid weekly.
  • Full-Time hours: 8:45 AM – 3:20 PM (with a 30-minute lunch break).
  • Commencement: May 2024.
  • The school holds a 'GOOD' rating from OFSTED.
