Sports Coach – Cover Supervisor Role
Location: BL4 area (Farnworth/Little Lever)
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, term-time only

A well-regarded secondary school in the BL4 area is looking to appoint a confident and proactive Sports Coach to take on the role of Cover Supervisor. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in sports coaching who is looking to transition into a school-based setting.

The Role:

  • Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the class teacher

  • Deliver pre-set work and ensure students remain focused and on task

  • Use your leadership and coaching experience to manage behaviour effectively

  • Provide classroom support and contribute to the wider school environment

Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with children or young people, ideally in a sports or coaching context

  • Be confident managing groups and maintaining classroom expectations

  • Have strong communication and organisational skills

  • Be flexible, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting students' learning

Desirable:

  • Experience working in schools or educational settings

  • A relevant degree or coaching qualification

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
