Job description

Are you a recent graduate with a passion for education? Are you considering a career in teaching but want valuable classroom experience first?

We’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable Graduate Cover Supervisors to join schools in Heywood this September. This is the perfect opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a classroom setting while being fully supported through training.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising pre-set lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher. You’ll maintain a positive learning environment, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure pupils remain engaged with their work.

Ideal for Graduates Who:

  • Are considering a career in teaching or education

  • Want paid, practical experience in the classroom

  • Are confident, flexible, and proactive

  • Have strong communication and classroom management skills

Desirable skills but Not Essential:

  • Previous school-based experience

  • A degree in any subject

  • Experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, coaching, youth work)
