Cover Supervisor – Secondary School, BL6 Area
Location: BL6 (Horwich/Blackrod area)
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, term-time only

A well-established secondary school in the BL6 area is seeking a reliable and confident Cover Supervisor to join their team from September. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain school-based experience, especially those considering a future in teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher

  • Deliver pre-set lessons and ensure students remain on task

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy

  • Provide support in classrooms or around the school when not covering lessons

Who We're Looking For:

  • Confident individuals with strong communication and classroom management skills

  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable

  • Adaptable, professional and able to use initiative

  • A genuine interest in education and student development

Requirements:

  • A current enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

  • Right to work in the UK

  • References to cover the last 2 years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
