The Role:
As a Sports Coach Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of high-quality physical education and extracurricular sports programs. Working alongside experienced teachers and coaches, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the planning and delivery of engaging and inclusive sports lessons that cater to the diverse abilities and interests of students.
- Providing one-on-one support and guidance to students during practical activities, helping them develop essential skills and techniques in various sports disciplines.
- Organizing and supervising extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures, and tournaments, fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition among students.
- Supporting the school's sports teams in training sessions and competitions, helping to nurture talent and instill a sense of pride and achievement.
- Contributing to the maintenance of sports equipment, facilities, and resources, ensuring a safe and conducive environment for physical activity.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A passion for sports and physical education, coupled with previous experience coaching or mentoring young people in a sports-related capacity.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and inspire students to participate actively and achieve their full potential.
- Knowledge of a range of sports and the ability to adapt coaching techniques to suit different ages, abilities, and learning styles.
- Enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude towards promoting the benefits of sports and physical activity for overall health and well-being.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in sports coaching or physical education (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
