Are you passionate about supporting students on an individual level? Do you have a love for sports and physical activity? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Teaching Assistant, providing dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 5 pupil while also leading sport sessions.

We are seeking a dedicated Sport Teaching Assistant to provide tailored 1:1 support to a Year 5 pupil, assisting them in achieving their academic and personal goals. In addition to academic support, this role involves leading sport sessions for the pupil as this is a great way of keeping the pupil engaged during the school day and supports their wellbeing.

Key Characteristics, Sport Teaching Assistant:

• Patience: TAs need to have patience when working with students who may struggle with concepts or need extra help.
• Flexibility: Being able to adapt to various teaching styles, classroom dynamics, and student needs is crucial for TAs.
• Communication Skills: Clear communication is essential for explaining concepts, giving instructions, and collaborating with teachers and students
• Empathy and Understanding: TAs need to empathize with students' struggles and understand their individual learning needs to provide appropriate support
• Resourcefulness: Finding creative ways to explain concepts or solve problems can make a big difference in helping students grasp difficult material.
• Positive Attitude: Maintaining a positive and encouraging attitude can motivate students and create a more engaging learning environment.
