Speech & Language Support Assistant
The School:
This school aims to develop every child's personality, unique talents and abilities to the full. Through the schools stimulating and inspiring curriculum the school aims to give everyone of its pupils the resilience and perseverance so that they become independent thinkers and learners for life. The successful candidate will be able to provide speech and language support on a 1:1 basis using speech sounds, synthetic phonics and narrative groups to primary aged children as directed by the Speech Therapist.
This role would ideal suit an experienced Speech and Language Learning Assistant who has experience working with children who have ASD.
Requirements for this role:
- Being able to build raptor with young children
- Work effectively as a team member, sharing the progress of the student with teachers and the Speech Therapist
- Have a keen interest in communication and rehabilitation
- Are passionate about helping those with disabilities to maximise their potential
- Have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
- Are dynamic and enthusiastic
We are looking for dedicated individuals who are passionate about providing the highest standards of care and facilitating opportunities for learning for our wonderful children. Previous experience of looking after children with autism would be an advantage however a can-do attitude and commitment to the children and your team is equally as important.
The Role:
Applicants will be working in a classroom supporting assistants and fellow support workers on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis with pupils.
The role will operate between 8:30 - 15:30, Monday - Friday.
Full time is preferred but part time applicants may still apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
