Position: Specialist Teaching Assistant
Location: Northampton
Teaching Personnel are currently looking for highly motivated Specialist Teaching Assistants who feel passionate about, nurturing, guiding and supporting SEN students into reaching their very best potential within their learning.
One of our client schools based in NN3, have students with various SEN needs and are therefore looking for caring and enthusiastic individuals to support these needs in their day to day school life. The school have a great, supportive department who are able to offer support and training for their members of staff to ensure they’re consistently providing their students the very best support.
The school are based centrally to Northampton with a variety of easy modes of transport so is accessible for drivers and non-drivers.
Role responsibilities
- Supporting the child within the learning environment in order to promote their intellectual, physical, social and emotional development
- Promote a caring environment and provide a high standard of care which may include toileting, and mealtime assistance
- Maintaining excellent standards of safety and good practice in relation to safeguarding, health and safety issues, implementing pupils’ plans and appropriately using the recording and reporting processes
- Liaising with professionals and implementing therapeutic plans.
Requirements:
- A patient and understanding approach.
- An interest in working with students with Profound and multiple learning difficulties
- A flexible and proactive approach.
- Experience supporting students in personal care, moving, handling, and hoisting.
- A patient and caring nature
- Enthusiasm for teaching, and helping students
- Full time availability
- An overseas police clearance

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
