Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
Pay: £13.75- £14.50 per day (depending on experience)

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a specialist provision in the Fleetwood area seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team in September 2025.

The role is based in a specialist SEN unit attached to a mainstream primary school, supporting pupils aged 5–11 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated needs, including communication difficulties and sensory processing challenges.

Your Role:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for children with ASC

• Promote independence, emotional regulation, and social development

• Adapt and differentiate learning tasks under teacher guidance

• Implement EHCP targets and work closely with external professionals

• Create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN, especially ASC (in school, residential, care or voluntary settings)

• Calm, empathetic and adaptable with excellent communication skills

• A team player with a positive, proactive approach

• Additional training (e.g. Team Teach, PECS, Makaton) is desirable but not essential

• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
