Full-Time SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Leyland
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school community. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a pupil with special educational needs and disabilities, providing tailored support and helping them thrive both academically and socially.
Role Overview:

Provide one-to-one support for a child with SEND, ensuring their individual needs are met.

Assist the class teacher in delivering an inclusive and engaging curriculum.

Foster a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment.

Help develop the pupil’s confidence, independence, and social skills.

Liaise with parents, teachers, and the school’s SEND team to track progress and adapt strategies.
We are looking for someone who:
✅ Has experience working with children with SEND (particularly in a 1:1 capacity).
✅ Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children with additional needs.
✅ Possesses excellent communication and teamwork skills.
✅ Holds relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) – desirable but not essential.

Hours: Full-time, term time only
Contract: Permanent (subject to successful probation)
Start Date: ASAP or by negotiation

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
