Teaching Personnel is pleased to be recruiting for a Teaching Assistant based within North Leeds based Mainstream Primary School, which provides an education to children with an Autism diagnosis.
The school is looking for a candidate who can bring a good understanding of Autism traits and associated behaviours, into the classroom.
They are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who has previous experience working with Autistic Spectrum Condition. Each class is grouped by ability and is led by an experienced SEN Teacher. The school is incredibly welcoming.
The school are looking for:
- Previous experience working with Autism (adults or young people)
- An ability to understand and help manage children's sensory needs
- An ability to effectively communicate with children who have Autism
- Basic understanding of the Triad of Impairment
- Someone who can work under their own initiative

Teaching Personnel
