Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are recruiting Teaching Assistants to work in various local schools, including Lancing, Worthing, Littlehampton and Arundel. We are specifically looking for those with SEN experience. The ideal candidate will have a valid Team-Teach qualification (de-escalation technique) or similar training. As an SEN TA, whether you are looking to work with children with Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) problems or Profound & Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), we will find suitable work for you within a special school, pupil referral unit (PRU) or alternative education provision to match your skills and experience. Own transport would be beneficial, however is not essential (some schools do not have links to public transport). Rate of pay can range from £54 per day. If you don't already have a Child Workforce DBS (registered to the Update Service), you can apply for a new check through Teaching Personnel (standard cost £44).

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
