SEN Teaching Assistants required in Sudbury Hill.

Currently we have a need for experienced full-time Special Needs Teaching Assistants in the Sudbury Hill area. Supporting children with special needs in this school based in the London Borough of Ealing is a highly rewarding opportunity. As a long-standing SEN teaching recruitment team in West London, we find SEN support roles for people across Ealing, Richmond and South West London each year!
You will work supporting children 1:1 or 2:1 in class, play and therapies with a range of complex needs including:
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD – Complex Medical Needs)
- Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Speech and Language Communication Needs (SLCN – non-verbal or limited speech)
Desirable training for the role is Team Teach or Moving and Handling (care based) for people training.
Essential skills for the role are:
- 1:1/direct SEN support experience whether personal, paid or voluntary
- PECS, Symbols, Makaton, Sensory Learning or Multi-Sensory Approaches experience
- Non-judgemental attitude
- Good communication skills
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Open to supporting with personal care and moving and handling of children
Due to the role being with vulnerable children a valid child DBS registered on the update service, right to work documents and references will be required.
