Special Needs Teacher (Autism)

The ideal candidate will have experience in SEN provisions, preferably with students that have ASC. Or experience supporting others in school or in care settings.

You will provide accessible lessons to your students, reducing their anxiety within the classroom and promoting their social, emotional and personal development. You will support this by ensuring each student strengthens their independent and living skills which are key to building confidence and self-esteem. Your lessons will be stimulating and engaging for pupils at varying academic stages.

Pupils in these schools may display challenging behaviour so you must be confident in identifying triggers and reducing stress. Teaching Personnel offer a Team Teach course to provide this additional training which is widely recognised in all schools.
