Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to work full-time in Portsmouth at a Special Needs Primary school. As the Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the Teachers in the classroom.

Roughly 100 students attend and they operate using small class sizes, in order to allow for greater support. Various learning difficulties are present at the school including ADHD, Dyslexia, and Autism.

The ideal candidate will be very passionate and motivated to assist pupils to reach their full potential. You will be hard working, patient, organised and hold very good communication skills. Previous experience in Special Needs is desirable but not essential, providing additional relevant experience. Team teach, Safeguarding, and Autism Awareness training is also desirable but not essential.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
