Teaching assistants wanted in Hillingdon Borough
Location: Uxbridge/Hillingdon
Role: SMSA
The Role
The Midday Supervisors are responsible for overseeing the basic care and well being of the children. The role is an important one, the lunch hour being a period of social and recreational activity for pupils. The main duties will be to prepare the dining hall ready for lunch and to encourage the children the to eat the lunch provided in a calm and orderly manner.
Responsibilities will include:
• Supervise the children at lunch times being aware of pupils’ activities at all times
• Ensure polite behaviour at lunch tables and offer assistance to pupils requiring help with their lunches.
• Tidy and sweep the floors, wipe down the tables.
• Supervise the children on the playground
Expectations of the candidate
- To be able to support teacher with assessing Students individual needs
- Observe and record information on student performance
- Have safe and enjoyable learning environment working alongside the teachers, colleagues, and student.
- Supporting individuals in small groups or 1:1 basis

Essential requirements/training/qualifications
The Qualifications:
- Matching A Levels and GCSE grades
- Enhanced DBS – Child work force only
- Relevant experience working with children
- SEN experience – preferred
- Experience working with children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
