Learning Support Assistant – Year 3 | Kingston Upon Thames | ASAP – July 2025

A vibrant and welcoming mainstream primary school in Kingston (with excellent transport links) is looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their Year 3 team. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates in Psychology or Criminology who are keen to make a impact whilst gaining valuable experience in the education sector.

You’ll be working closely with young children at a pivotal stage in their development—supporting emotional regulation, managing classroom behaviour, and helping children overcome barriers to learning. Whether you're considering a future in educational psychology or teaching, this role gives you the experience that sets you apart.
Your Role:
Support Key Stage 2 activities and foster an engaging learning environment
Assist with behaviour management in a mixed-ability Year 3 class
Work 1:1 and in small groups to help pupils access the curriculum
Step in across year levels when needed – flexibility is key
We're Looking For:
Psychology or Criminology graduates (or those with similar interests)
Experience working or volunteering with children (school, tutoring, childcare, etc.)
A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
