We are recruiting teaching assistants on behalf of a 'Specialist Nottinghamshire SEN School'. The school works with children and young people aged 5-19 years with severe or complex communication difficulties and/or ASC,

Ideal candidates will have extensive experience working with Autism and challenging behaviour as the school have a high demand for staff both on a short term and long term basis.

We are looking for candidates with the following skills:

•Extensive experience supporting children on the Autistic spectrum, including those with challenging behaviour and communication difficulties.

•Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent.

•Training and/or experience using Makaton, PECS and other forms of communication aids for students with impaired communication.

•Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.

•Confidence to liaise with multi-disciplinary teams including school staff, parents, Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists.

•Some experience working with all age ranges; from KS1 to KS4 and FE.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
