Sports Coach
Job description
Sports Coach – Blackburn Contract: April 2026 – July 2026 Pay: £14.30–£16.00 per hour Setting: Mainstream Primary School
A primary school in Blackburn is seeking a dedicated Sports Coach to support pupils in a classroom-based role from April to July 2026. Although the school values a strong sports background, this position does not involve direct sports coaching. Instead, you’ll be working within mainstream primary classrooms, helping to deliver engaging learning, supporting pupils’ development, and contributing to a positive school environment.
What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting teaching and learning across a range of primary year groups

Assisting with classroom activities, group work, and behaviour support

Using your sports knowledge to promote teamwork, confidence, and positive attitudes

Helping pupils stay focused, motivated, and engaged in lessons

Working closely with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
