Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting an English teacher on behalf of a secondary school located in South Manchester after an unexpected departure due to a member of the English department relocating.

The school are looking for an experienced English teacher join their team from September on a full time basis from September for a term, with the opportunity of securing a school based contract in January 2019 on a fixed term/permanent basis.

English teacher - South Manchester - September 2018

  • Full time position initially for 1 term - Permanent opportunity from January 2019 due to the nature of this gap
  • Ofsted graded Good secondary school with outstanding leadership and management
  • Pay based on MPS/UPS £22,917-£33,824
  • Modern facilities and opportunity to join a department which achieve exceptional results

This English teacher post will be full time delivering the AQA English curriculum across KS3 and KS4.

The school wish to appoint an English teacher with strong behaviour management skills and the ability to engage learners of mixed abilities to ensure they reach their full potential.

Situated in the M22 area of South Manchester the school has high levels of students eligible for free school meals and above average number of students who use English as an additional language due to the location and demographics of the area. Located just of the M56 the school has first hand public transport routes via tram and bus for those on public transport. As the school is a modern build you will have access to state of the art teaching equipment, resources and facilities.

Due to the late notice of the departure the school will ideally be looking to see candidates in the first weeks of September. Essential requirements for this post will be qualified teacher status in the UK, suitable teaching references and eligibility for a fully enhanced DBS certificate.
