SEND Teaching Assistant
Manchester
Teaching Personnel are looking for an inspirational Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in Manchester. The successful Teaching Assistant will join our client schools successful SEND team and will be responsible for supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Support will be provided in class, on a one-to-one basis and in small groups. This is a full time role commencing in November and running until the end of the academic year.
The successful Teaching Assistant will join our client schools expanding SEND team and will support students with Educational Health Care Plans and additional needs. The successful candidate will be supporting students with a variety of additional needs, including moderate learning difficulties and disabilities. We are looking for a talented, compassionate individual who will help all students recognise and achieve their potential regardless of any barriers to learners.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
- Have the ability to provide support in mainstream lessons and the ability to deliver one-to-one and small group intervention
- Be proactive and able to respond to each students’ needs appropriately
- Be able to work collaboratively with a team of dedicated Teachers and Teaching Assistants
The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will join a popular and successful secondary school located in the heart of the city centre. Due to its inner city location, the school is a multi-cultural and inclusive learning environment with over 1000 pupils on roll. Our client school has developed significantly in recent years and has consistently received excellent Ofsted reports. As a result, the school has become oversubscribed and highly reputable in the local area.
