SEN Teaching Assistant – Hartlepool
Are you a patient, compassionate, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding new role? A supportive and inclusive school in Hartlepool is seeking an enthusiastic SEN TA to join their team and provide targeted support to pupils with special educational needs.
Location: Hartlepool
Start Date: ASAP
Position: Full-time (long-term cover) – SEN Teaching Assistant
About the Role:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties
-
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
-
Support pupils both inside and outside the classroom to promote engagement and progress
-
Assist with emotional regulation, social development, and behaviour management
-
Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
-
Experience working with children with special educational needs in a school or care setting
-
A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent) is desirable
-
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
