SENCO Teacher

Recruiting an experienced Part-time SENDCO in the Ealing borough.

Teaching Personnel the largest and longest standing recruitment agency are currently seeking an experienced SENDCO to join a Primary school in the Ealing borough on a part time basis, the school is specifically located in Ealing central. The role is 3/4 days a week and we are open to negotiate a salary for the right candidate.

The role will include:

• To assist the headteacher in the organisation, management and development of the school.

• To lead on the school’s SEND provision.

• To carry out teaching duties as required

• To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school and be a Designated Safeguarding Lead

Qualifications

1.Qualified teacher status or recognised equivalent.

2.Hold or be prepared to acquire the The National Award for Special Educational Needs Co-ordination in line with current regulations.

Experience – show evidence of

3.Working as a SENDCO in a primary setting or relevant primary experience

4.Evidence of a whole school responsibility and experience of turning policy into effective and successful practice.

Professional Knowledge

5.A clear understanding of the essential qualities necessary for effective teaching and learning.

6.Up to date knowledge of statutory regulations, legislation and guidance relating to the education landscape and to SEND provision in particular.
