Full-Time SEN Youth Worker – Make a Difference in Mainstream Secondary Schools!
Location: Liverpool & Wirral | Start: ASAP

Are you passionate about supporting young people? Do you want to be the positive force that helps students with special educational needs (SEN) thrive in a mainstream school environment?

Teaching Personnel is on the lookout for motivated, compassionate SEN Youth Workers to join our team and work full-time across mainstream secondary schools in Liverpool and the Wirral.

This is more than just a job — it’s a chance to empower students, build confidence, and transform lives.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting students with SEN (including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and more) in and out of the classroom
  • Helping young people engage with their learning and develop key life skills
  • Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams to implement support strategies
  • Being a mentor, a motivator, and a role model every single day

About You:

  • Any experience working with young people (schools, youth clubs, care work, coaching, etc.)
  • Empathetic, resilient, and ready to rise to any challenge
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Looking to grow a career in education, youth work, or special needs support
  • DBS on the update service (or happy to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
