SEN Tutor
Salary:
£25 - £35 per hour
Job Duties:
- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Create individualised learning plans based on students' needs and abilities
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Assess students' progress and provide feedback to parents and teachers
- Collaborate with educational professionals to ensure students' needs are being met
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with students with SEN
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to tailor teaching methods to individual student needs
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience working as a SEN tutor or in a similar role
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of SEN curriculum and teaching strategies
- Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications in Special Educational Needs
- Experience using assistive technology in teaching
Working Conditions:
The position involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis. The tutor may need to travel to students' homes or schools for tutoring sessions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
