SEN Tutor

Job Description:

Job Duties:

• Provide one-on-one tutoring to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Create individualised learning plans based on student needs and abilities
• Implement specialised teaching techniques to support SEN students in their learning
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in the student's education

Required Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs
• Knowledge of SEN teaching strategies and techniques

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in teaching or tutoring SEN students

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong understanding of SEN policies and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs
• Patience and empathy when working with SEN students

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional training in SEN education or related field
• Experience working in a variety of educational settings

Working Conditions:

• Part-time hours, flexible schedule
• Working closely with SEN students in a classroom or one-on-one setting
• Collaborating with other education professionals and parents
• Adhering to safeguarding and SEN policies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
