SEN Teaching Assistant required in Salisbury

About the School:

A new, small SEN school that caters for students between the ages of 5 - 16 with special educational needs, including Autism (ASC).

About the role:

  • To support pupils' academic and social communication needs (linked to diagnosis of autism) and to support positive social and emotional wellbeing, enabling them to engage in learning in and out of the school environment
  • To support with personal/physical care
  • To support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups

Desired candidate:

  • Vibrant, resilient and energetic
  • Creative and innovative with the ability to problem solve
  • The ability to build positive, professional relationships with students and other professionals
  • Experience supporting individuals with Autism
  • An understanding of different special educational needs (SEN) and associated difficulties along with the ability to positively manage challenging behaviour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
