SEN Teaching Assistant - York

Teaching Personnel are currently looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant for an SEN School in Acomb, York. This will be working across ages 3 to 11 years old, helping to support the class teacher and other teaching assistants. All children at the School have an EHCP in place for Special Needs, so experience supporting those with ASC, SLD, PMLD or PD is essential.

As the ideal candidate, you should:

  • Have experience supporting children with a range of complex or special needs
  • Hold relevant CPD training such as Moving and Handling or Autism Awareness or be willing to undertake additional training courses
  • Be charismatic, flexible and personable
  • Have experience of engaging vulnerable learners into whole school life
  • Be passionate about the welfare of children with special educational needs
