SEN Teaching Assistant - Tyne & Wear

Are you someone who has a calm, caring and patient professional approach to managing challenging behaviours?

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a number of mainstream secondary schools in the Tyne & Wear region to help with their staffing requirements for the new academic year. Many mainstream schools have provisions in place for learners with SEN and require candidates to take on a behaviour mentor role, the role will involve supporting learners and teachers and ensuring the pupils remain engaged with the curriculum.

The ideal individual for this role will have a calm and resilient nature and will need a real passion for making a difference in young peoples lives. The candidate will need to be prepared to encounter challenging behaviour and therefore someone with experience in working with behavioural problems would be beneficial.

• be available a minimum of three days a week
