Do you have a passion for making a difference in education? Have you got previous experience of working as a teaching assistant in a secondary school or would you like a role like this in the future?
Our client secondary school in the Tameside area of Greater Manchester to add an SEN teaching assistant to their support staff team ASAP or from February half term 2018.
As an incoming SEN teaching assistant, you would be expected to help aid learning and progress with identified pupils with learning difficulties and specific SEN needs along with some small group interventions in Maths and English in particular.
- SEN Teaching Assistant in a Tameside Secondary school
- Supporting identified SEN pupils with learning
- Working closely with the SENCO and learning support team
- Supporting Maths and English on a 1:1 and small group basis
Qualified teaching assistants or graduates with previous school based experience encouraged to apply. Our client school located in Tameside, Greater Manchester are looking to appoint a teaching assistant on a full time basis ASAP or February half term. This position is suitable for graduates pursuing a career as a teacher in the future OR experienced teaching assistants.
You would be working with identified pupils with learning difficulties such as ADHD, Autism or Dyslexia along with nurture. If you are keen to influence the development of pupils learning and have an interest in working with pupils with special needs such as this, then Teaching Personnel want to hear from you.
Located in Tameside, this school is much smaller than the average secondary school with approximately 700 pupils on role. The school has a higher than average number of children with special education needs and in the majority, has pupils of a white British heritage.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
