SEN Teaching Assistant - Northampton

We are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants with excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills and the ability to deal with complex issues.

Either previous experience of working with people with Autism or any other special need is beneficial but not necessary. An eagerness to learn about various conditions and needs and a desire to help support children is the most important attribute.

Based within SEN schools as well as Secondary and Primary schools, as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for supporting students ranging from Early Years through to GCSE that have a range of complex needs including Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and complex behavioural difficulties. Therefore previous experience working in a similar environment is important but not necessary. The right attitude, the right work ethic, empathy and initiative trumps experience every time - so don't undersell yourself, you can do it!
