SEN Teaching Assistant

Join a vibrant secondary academy in Manchester, seeking to appoint an SEN teaching assistant immediately. This role is suited to any experience candidates looking to secure a long term position.

Highlights of this SEN Teaching Assistant position;

  • Full time role with an immediate start date available
  • 8:30am – 3pm, term time only
  • Working on a 1:1 and small group basis with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
  • Modern secondary school located in Manchester, accessible via the M57 and M60

This SEN Teaching Assistant position will involve working with students across the age range, working on a one-to-one and small group basis. Successful applicants will work alongside the schools SENCO to provide specialist support to individual students. This will be provided inside the classroom and in the schools specialist SEN provision.

Applications are encouraged from applicants who have experience in supporting:

  • Young people with Special Educational Needs including mild-moderate Autism
  • Young people with variant learning difficulties e.g. Dyslexia or Dyspraxia
  • Young people with behavioural difficulties
  • Young people with disabilities
  • Young people with Social and Emotional Mental Health needs (SEMH) 

This secondary academy is located in Manchester just a short drive from the city centre. The school has modern facilities including a well resources SEN department. For those on public transport, the school is accessible via trains from the city centre and bus routes from the surrounding areas of Manchester, Stockport and Tameside. For those who drive, the school is accessible via the M60 and A57.
