Location: Cannock, Stafford, Rugeley & Surrounding Areas
Contract Type: Flexible Day-to-Day Supply
Start Date: September 2026
Pay: Dependent on experience and qualifications

Teaching Personnel is working with a range of welcoming secondary schools across Cannock, Stafford, Rugeley, and surrounding areas that are looking for reliable and enthusiastic individuals to support students in the classroom.

These roles are ideal for graduates, individuals considering a career in education, or anyone looking to gain valuable experience working with young people while having the flexibility to choose when they work.

Whether you have direct school experience or strong transferable skills from another environment, we are interested in hearing from people who are passionate about supporting young people.

The Roles Available

Teaching Assistant

  • Support students with their learning and development.
  • Provide classroom and pastoral support.
  • Work alongside teachers to help students achieve their potential.
  • Support pupils with additional needs where required.

Cover Supervisor

  • Deliver pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Support students to remain focused and engaged.
  • Manage classroom behaviour confidently.
  • Provide a positive learning environment across different subjects.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience working with young people, either in a school or similar setting.
  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Can build positive relationships with students.
  • Is reliable, adaptable, and confident working with groups.
  • Has transferable skills from roles such as coaching, mentoring, youth work, retail, customer service, or similar.
  • Is interested in developing a career within education.

To Be Eligible For This Role Through Teaching Personnel, You Must:

  • Hold the right to work in the UK.
  • Have experience working with young people or transferable skills.
  • Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one.
  • Provide two professional references covering the last two years.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
