General Cover Teachers Needed – Staffordshire Secondary Schools

Stafford | Stone | Cannock | Lichfield

Salary £100.00 - £130.00 per day (depending on experience)

 

Are you a qualified teacher looking for flexibility, a better work-life balance, or your next opportunity in secondary education? We're recruiting General Cover Teachers to work across a range of welcoming secondary schools throughout Staffordshire.

Whether you're looking for day-to-day supply, short-term assignments, long-term placements or opportunities that could lead to permanent positions, we have roles to suit your availability.

Your role will include:

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of secondary subjects during teacher absence.
  • Creating a positive, engaging classroom environment where students remain focused and motivated to learn.
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with each school's behaviour policy.
  • Adapting confidently to different schools, departments and year groups.
  • Encouraging students to complete set work while providing support where needed.
  • Recording attendance, reporting on lesson outcomes and providing feedback to the class teacher where appropriate.
  • Building positive relationships with students and staff to ensure continuity of learning.

⭐ What we're looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Confident classroom management and the ability to teach across a range of subjects.
  • A flexible, reliable and professional approach.
  • A passion for supporting young people and helping them achieve their best.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
