SEN Teaching Assistant
South Manchester

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to develop a career working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs?

  • Full time role (term time only) commencing in September 2019
  • Working hours : 8:45am - 3:15pm
  • Competitive pay rate - up to £1350+ per month
  • Introduction to a vibrant secondary school in South Manchester

Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint an outstanding Teaching Assistant to join our client schools SEN provision located in South Manchester. The successful Teaching Assistant will have experience of supporting students with a variety of Special Educational Needs and will have high expectations to ensure that every student achieves

We are looking for a talented individual who is able to support children with their learning and development during lessons. They will be able to successful lead small group sessions and interventions and will maintain high standards of behaviour among pupils through the use of the schools effective behaviour policy.

Applicants to this position must possess a C or above in GCSE Maths and English and will ideally have a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

Our client school is the local secondary provider of choice at the heart of our community and has been on an amazing journey to improve education for all of their students and have transformed the Academy. Their most recent Ofsted inspection early in 2015 commented on the schools many 'Outstanding' features. Academic standards have soared and our client school is now recognised as an innovative and successful school. The school recently invested in a brand new state-of-the-art building to accommodate their growing student population and therefore has excellent facilities throughout.

The school is located in South Manchester, easily accessible via Metro links from the city centre and public bus routes. The school also has a large free car park for all staff members.
