SEN Teaching Assistant

Here at Teaching Personnel we are offering the successful candidate the role of SEN Teaching Assistant at one of our partner schools in the Manchester area. This is a challenging role dealing with diverse special educational needs, with a focus on the Social, Emotional and Mental Health of children aged 6-14 years. 

The school are looking for someone who is not only able to meet the academic needs of these children, but provide them with the best possible start in life by teaching them the skills required to live independently and comfortably move onto the next stages of their lives.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Intervening when behavioural difficulties arise
• Assisting the execution of lesson plans
• Reporting back on behaviour to promote best practice

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Passion for the academic and social development of vulnerable children
• A calm and resilient personality
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good level of basic knowledge in Maths, English, Sciences

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
