We are currently working with an SEN school in the Norwich area, which thrives on its passion for communication. The school provides learning for pupils with complex needs and PMLD. You will join a very supportive team, who aim to provide the best learning experience for pupils with severe learning difficulties, autism and multi-sensory impairments.
With multi-sensory groups, iPad club and the schools very own signing choir there is plenty for pupils to get involved with! As a specialist school, frequent communication with pupils includes signing, PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) and VOCA support.
As a Teaching Assistant at the school, some of your duties will include:
Supporting pupils with personal care
PEG Feeding
Ensuring pupils are engaged
Using PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System)
This role can be either full-time or part-time and is long-term temporary, with the prospects of becoming permanent in the future.
