SEN Teaching Assistant - Sturminster Newton

A special needs school in Sturminster Newton are currently looking for Teaching Assistants to work with them on a flexible basis.

This 'Outstanding' rated SEN school caters for pupils between the ages of 2-19 with profound and multiple (PMLD) , Severe (SLD), Moderate (MLD) or complex learning difficulties. Some children have additional sensory or physical impairments, speech and language disorders or medical needs, others are statemented as being within the autistic spectrum.

They currently have a need for Teaching Assistants that can work on a flexible basis so whether you can work 1 day a week or 5 days a week, we would like to hear from you.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, it is essential you:

• Have experience working with children or adults that have special needs
• Have good written and verbal English
• Can adapt to different working environments
• Can offer social and emotional support to the students
• Can build positive relationships with students, colleagues and other professionals

It would be beneficial if you have experience working in a classroom environment but this is not essential.

This school is not easily accessed by public transport so it is essential you have a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle or a reliable lift.
