Teaching Assistant (Primary)

Pay Rate: £350-£425 per week

Start Date: ASAP (Once vetting completed)

Location: Bridport

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A supportive and nurturing approach with classroom management.
  • Demonstrate a desire to research and find out more in order to improve their own practice.
  • Understanding of the Primary curriculum.
  • Flexibility and creativity and a strong commitment to teamwork.
  • Ability to manage pupils with challenging behaviour.
  • Patience and a sense of humour.
  • UK Drivers licence (Desired)

You Will Need

  • Child Only Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (we will help with application process.)
  • References from 2 most recent employers
  • Available for a minimum of 2 days per week

Job Role

Getting the classroom ready for lessons and supporting teachers in managing class behaviour, group activities, outings and sports events. Other daily work includes helping children who need extra support to complete tasks, looking after children who are upset or have had accidents, clearing away materials and equipment after lessons, listening to children read and reading to them.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
