We are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join a highly respected specialist provision supporting children and young people with a wide range of complex needs. Learners at this setting may have physical disabilities, medical needs, sensory impairments, communication difficulties and associated behavioural challenges.

As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, you will help create a positive, structured and engaging learning environment. Working closely with teachers, therapists and senior staff, you will support students’ emotional regulation, learning routines and personal development.
Key Responsibilities

Support students in managing behaviour, communication and emotional needs
-
Build consistent and trusting relationships
-
Assist with learning activities, personal care and mobility where needed
-
Promote independence, resilience and positive behaviour strategies

Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support teams
-
Contribute to personalised programmes and progress tracking
What We’re Looking For
-
Minimum 6 months of childcare or SEN experience (essential)
-
Experience supporting children with behavioural, physical or complex needs
-
Driving licence required due to location
-
Patience, resilience and confidence in using positive behaviour strategies
-
Ability to remain calm, consistent and supportive

Passion for helping young people thrive

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
