Early Years Teaching Assistant

About the Role
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a warm, supportive, and well-resourced school in Poole.
The school is highly regarded for its nurturing environment, exceptional facilities, and its dedication to helping every pupil grow in confidence and independence.

This is a full time, immediate start position, with opportunities to support pupils across Early Years and other year groups within the school. Working hours are 8.30am to 5pm.
Key Responsibilities

Provide hands-on support to pupils in Early Years and across age ranges when needed

Assist with sensory and play-based learning activities
-
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement
-
Work closely with teachers and therapists, following guidance and plans

Support personal care, communication development, and daily routines
Requirements
We are looking for someone who has:
-
A minimum of 6 months childcare experience, specifically supporting children with SEN needs
-
A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
-
A genuine passion for helping children thrive
-
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Experience from a nursery, childcare, or SEN setting is highly desirable, but candidates with transferable experience are welcome to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
