Teaching Personnel are looking for a SEN Early years Teaching Assistant for a primary school based in Acton.

About the role:

The position available supports a range of children, with a variety of different needs. Autism, ADHD, Global Learning Delay, Speech, language and communication needs are some of the needs may need to be catered for.

This role will require you to:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a pupil and delivering intervention sessions to improve pupil attainment
  • Observe and monitor pupil progression
  • Ensure that the pupil interacts appropriately with their peers and adults

About the school:

This is an exceptional primary school looking for a new member of staff to contribute to the positive and vibrant school environment. Through it's ethos of enriching their pupils culturally and educationally, they have focused on the diversity and mix of cultures throughout the community. Aiming to produce pupils that value the idea of personal development, the school has placed a focus on being ambitious and respectful of others. This includes the promotion of British values, as a school democracy, rule of law, respect and tolerance are taught to one and all - guiding their pupils to be inquisitive and respectful.

As a school that takes pride in it's pupils, they are looking for another member of staff with a clear dedication to the learning of all children. The newly built school has incredibly facilities - ensuring their pupils get the best quality of learning.

It is based in west Acton, being only a two minute walk from West Acton underground station it is easily accessible by train and multiple bus services.

The ideal candidate:

  • At least 3 months experience working with children with special educational needs
  • At least 3 months classroom based experience
  • Good spoke and written English
  • A valid DBS that is registered on the update service or willing to complete an application
