SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time | Whalley Range | November Start

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working in partnership with a highly respected and inclusive primary school in Whalley Range, seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This full-time role (8:30am – 3:30pm) begins in November and focuses on providing tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) through one-to-one and small group interventions.

The school has been rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and is celebrated for its nurturing ethos and inclusive approach to education. You’ll be part of a collaborative and welcoming team that values the contribution of skilled support staff in driving pupil progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support to pupils with SEN, both individually and in small groups
• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering personalised learning activities
• Support the implementation and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to monitor progress
• Adapt support strategies to meet evolving pupil needs

What We’re Looking For

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Experience working with children with SEN
• A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to supporting young learners
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare
• Level 2 Safeguarding certification (or willingness to complete training)
